How We Got Here
It wasn't some grand plan. We were working regular jobs — one of us in nutrition consulting, another managing a restaurant kitchen — and meal prepping became this weekly ritual that ate up half our Sundays. Good for staying on track with eating, but exhausting.
So we figured: what if we just did this for other people too? Started small in March 2023 with about fifteen clients who trusted us enough to try it. Most of them were friends or coworkers. We'd prep in a shared commercial kitchen space, deliver in coolers, and honestly had no idea if anyone would stick around past the first week.
By summer, we had outgrown that setup completely. People kept referring their friends, and we realized this was something people actually needed — not just wanted.
Moving into the food court at Les Galeries de Hull in late 2024 was a bit of a gamble. Food courts aren't typically where you find meal prep services. But it made sense to us. We wanted visibility and accessibility. If someone's walking by and curious about what we do, they can just stop in. No appointment needed.
The location works because Gatineau has this mix of busy professionals, families trying to eat better, and people who care about food quality but don't have time to cook from scratch every night. We're not trying to replace home cooking — we're just offering a practical option for the days when cooking isn't in the cards.
