Working Together on Your Meal Journey

Every consultation starts with understanding where you are right now — not where some chart says you should be.

I've spent years helping people figure out meal prep that actually fits their lives. Not cookie-cutter plans. Not one-size-fits-all approaches. Just real conversations about what works for you, what doesn't, and how we can bridge that gap together.

How We Build Your Plan

I learned early on that nobody wants another generic meal plan collecting dust in a drawer. So we start differently.

Initial Conversation

We sit down — really sit down — and talk about your day. When do you actually have time to cook? What foods make you feel good? What's gathering dust in your pantry right now? This usually takes about 45 minutes because rushing this part never helps anyone.

Building the Foundation

Based on what you've shared, I draft a framework. Not a rigid schedule, but a flexible approach that adapts to your Tuesday chaos and your Sunday meal prep sessions. You get this in your hands within three days, and then we talk again.

Refinement Phase

Here's where it gets interesting. You try things out for two weeks. Some recipes work brilliantly. Others? Maybe not so much. We meet again, adjust what needs adjusting, and keep what's working. This back-and-forth usually continues for about six weeks until everything clicks.

Ongoing Support

Life changes. Seasons shift. You might pick up a new hobby or switch jobs. I'm available for tune-up sessions whenever you need them — some clients check in quarterly, others reach out when life throws them a curveball.

What Shapes My Approach

These principles guide every consultation and meal plan I create

Realistic Expectations

I won't promise you'll love kale if you hate it, or that meal prep will suddenly become your favorite Sunday activity. But we can find approaches that feel manageable, not overwhelming.

Budget Awareness

Organic everything sounds nice until you see the grocery bill. We work within what makes sense for your situation — there are creative solutions at every price point.

Time Honesty

If you have 20 minutes on weeknights, we build for 20 minutes. Not 45. Not "just a quick hour." Real time, real constraints, real solutions.

Skill Building

You're not hiring me to cook for you forever. My goal is teaching you techniques that make meal prep feel less like a chore and more like something you can handle confidently.

Flexibility First

Rigid plans break the moment life gets unpredictable. We create frameworks with backup options, swap-able ingredients, and built-in flexibility for those days when nothing goes as planned.

Progress Over Perfection

Some weeks you'll nail everything. Other weeks? Maybe you manage three home-cooked meals instead of seven. Both scenarios represent progress worth celebrating.

The investment you make in consultation time pays forward in skills you'll use for years. I've seen clients who started barely able to chop an onion now confidently experimenting with new cuisines and techniques they never thought they'd try.

Real People, Real Results

These stories represent actual experiences from clients I've worked with over the past couple of years.

Client testimonial from Gregor Lindberg

Gregor Lindberg

Software developer, started January 2025
"I was living on takeout and feeling awful about it. My schedule's unpredictable — some weeks I'm in the office, others I'm working from home at odd hours. I thought meal planning just wasn't for people like me."

We spent our first session mapping out his actual schedule patterns instead of his ideal ones. Turned out Gregor had three distinct weekly patterns. We built flexible meal frameworks for each pattern, with recipes that scale up or down depending on his energy level. Four months in, he's cooking most of his meals and says he actually enjoys the process now. His grocery spending dropped noticeably too, though that wasn't even the main goal.

Client testimonial from Anwen Huxley

Anwen Huxley

Teacher, two young kids

Anwen came to me exhausted from trying to make elaborate healthy meals while managing a full-time job and two kids under six. We stripped everything back to basics — five core recipes she could make with her eyes closed, plus simple variations to keep things interesting. She recently told me weeknight dinners no longer fill her with dread.

Building Confidence

Kitchen skills development

Many clients start out intimidated by their own kitchens. We begin with fundamental techniques that unlock dozens of meal possibilities. Once you understand how to properly sauté vegetables or build a balanced grain bowl, you stop needing to follow recipes so rigidly. That confidence shift usually happens around week four or five.

Starting Your Meal Planning Journey

If you're tired of feeling overwhelmed by meal planning or curious about making dietary changes that actually stick, let's talk. No pressure, no sales pitch — just an honest conversation about whether this approach might work for you.

1

Get In Touch

Send me a message or give me a call. We'll set up a time to chat — usually a 15-minute conversation where you tell me what's not working right now.

2

First Meeting

We meet at the food court or do a video call if that's easier. This is where we dig into your actual routine, preferences, and goals. Bring questions — I've probably heard them before.

3

Begin Building

I create your initial meal framework, we test it out, and we refine based on what you discover. Most clients find their groove within six to eight weeks.
